Attorney Chris Cox

Christopher Cox has been helping individuals and families with estate planning for nearly 40 years. Over that time, he has built a reputation for making the process easier to understand, less intimidating, and more personal for the people he works with. His goal is simple: help clients put solid plans in place so they can feel confident knowing their loved ones will be protected and their wishes carried out.

Born and raised in the St. Louis area, Mr. Cox attended DeSmet Jesuit High School and earned his B.A. in Psychology from St. Louis University in 1985. He went on to receive his law degree from Washington University School of Law in 1988. After law school, he spent eight years practicing both civil and criminal law with a small firm in Clayton, gaining the kind of broad legal experience that still helps him serve clients today.

In 1996, Mr. Cox opened his own law practice in Clayton before moving the office to Chesterfield in 2012. Today, he focuses entirely on estate planning, helping clients with wills, trusts, and other planning tools designed to make life easier for the families they leave behind. He understands that these conversations can sometimes feel uncomfortable or overwhelming, and he works hard to create an environment where clients feel informed, at ease, and never pressured.

His Chesterfield office was selected with convenience and accessibility in mind. The office is fully accessible, requires no stairs, and has parking located directly outside the entrance.

Mr. Cox is licensed to practice in all Missouri state courts and regularly volunteers his time providing pro bono legal services to organizations throughout the St. Louis area.

Outside the office, family and community remain an important part of his life. He and his wife live in Chesterfield, just minutes from the office, and attend both Incarnate Word and the Oratory of Ss. Gregory & Augustine parishes. Their son is currently in graduate school.

When his son was younger, Mr. Cox spent many years coaching baseball and basketball, serving as a Cub Scout den leader, and volunteering as an Assistant Scoutmaster. These days, he enjoys sports, traveling, trying new restaurants, discovering a good TV series to binge watch, and spending time with family.
